Your Questions, Answered

  • From wash-n-go to full service grooming, I offer everything your dog needs to look and feel their best. Some dogs need a haircut, some dogs need their coats hand-stripped or plucked, some dogs need a great de-shed service and a brush out. Some dogs just come for nails, others have chronic pain or skin conditions and need a good soak in my cleansing and therapeutic mycrobubble system. Let me know what I can do for your dog.

  • Easy! Call or text me at 860 630 0961. Or click that button, the one that says “Set up a Meet & Treat!!” From there, you can choose a convenient day and time and then just come on over with your pup, see my space, and ask your questions in person.

  • Providing a safe, calm, enjoyable experience for your dog is very important to me. Beyond that, I want your dog to leave my spa feeling great in their skin— cleansed, conditioned, refreshed, smelling nice, and— if they are a haircut-type dog— with a cute new ‘do that puts a smile on the pet parent’s face.

  • I have an MS in human, not canine development, but surprisingly some of that knowledge base carries over! I worked in a hospital setting with babies and new mothers where respect for and the consent of patients was paramount. I seek that same consent from the dogs I work with! I did 150 in-person, supervised groom-school hours, plus many more hours in online classes, studying skin and coat care, groom shop safety, and canine behavior.

  • I need to see your dog’s skin and coat and observe their behavior in-person to know what they will need when when I work on them.

By the way, I take Venmo or cash. Maybe a check here and there. Grooms are subject to 8.24% Dutchess County, NY sales tax.

  • No. Sometimes there are time constraints— I know I will only have a dog’s cooperation for so long— and other aspects of the groom take priority. Sometimes a dog is stressed and I make the choice to keep things simple. If you want a microbubble bath for your pup be sure to communicate that.

  • Ha! Working with dogs is a joy and feeds my soul. It’s also physically demanding, potentially dangerous work that requires a complex set of skills plus quality tools, equipment and skin and coat care products.
